Has your Zip collapsed and are the hoods no longer visible? Or do you just want to make it look fresh again? With a complete Zip 2000 body kit you can replace the entire plating in one go. This way you prevent color differences and everything is neatly back in place.
What is a hairdressing set?
A body kit is a complete collection of plastic panels that together form the outside of your Zip 2000. Consider the front cover, side covers and the rear part. The advantage of a complete set is that everything has one color and you can immediately align it properly during installation.
If only one part is damaged, a loose cover may suffice. If several parts are discolored or there are cracks at the mounting points, a complete set is usually the nicest and fastest route.
Original or aftermarket?
Original covers fit tightly and have a consistent finish. Aftermarket sets are often more competitively priced and fine for daily use, as long as you pay attention to the fit and thickness of the plastic.
Matt or gloss?
Matte black or nardo gray gives a modern look. Gloss white or black remains classic and often matches original colors. Some sets have a Zip SP look with sportier shape details. Which one you choose depends on your taste and what's already on your Zip.
What do you pay attention to when choosing?
Compare the mounting points with your current hoods. Small deviations can later cause tension on the plastic. Also check what is included, because sometimes you need rubbers, clips or screws separately.
Assembly
Installing a hood set is easy to do yourself. Take photos as you disassemble, place parts loosely in place, and align everything before final tightening. Over-tightening or mounting parts under tension is the most common cause of cracks at the mounting points.
